A Boise Institution

Walk into Dave's and you're transported. Wall-to-wall memorabilia, classic booth seating, a jukebox humming in the corner — it's the kind of place where locals have been meeting for Saturday morning breakfasts for years. We're a family-owned diner that has become the favorite hangout of hundreds in the Boise area, as well as visitors just passing through.

From generous omelets and plate-sized pancakes to hand-formed burgers and hearty dinner plates, our menu is as American as it gets — made with care, priced fairly, and served with a smile. Whether you're stopping in for biscuits and gravy at 6 AM or meatloaf on a Friday night, you'll feel right at home.

My wife and I stopped by for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and we both asked the same question: what took us so long to come here? The food was fantastic — very reasonably priced and left us full and satisfied. The staff are always friendly and the interior really captures the feeling of a 1950s-style diner, complete with classic booth seating, framed car photos, and retro touches.

When you come to Dave's you feel like you are going to a long-time local favorite. A lot of older folks were there, looking like they've been coming every Saturday morning for years. The food was really good and the helpings were generous. The chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns was tasty and filling. My wife got the eggs Benedict and loved it.
